Allied Members

Corporate Allied Members : Individual Allied Members

Allied Members are employed outside of traditional architectural practice, but are involved in positions allied to the field. They have an established professional reputation, and include engineers, planners, landscape architects, and those involved in manufacturing or industry. Allied Members also include those employed by firms in the construction industry who are engaged in research, design, development, testing, manufacturing, distribution, or training.

You may become an Allied Member at only the state level, or you may also choose to join at the local or national level.

What are the benefits?

By joining TSA as an Allied Member, you become a part of an organization that actively supports and works to increase the value of the building industry in Texas. Your membership is a commitment to cooperation and communication among all members of the design/construction team. As an Allied Member, you will:

• Become a part of a statewide network of professionals committed to advancing the value of the design and construction industries.
• Have the opportunity to engage in open communication and discussion, and encourage cooperation and teamwork among your peers.
• Receive a business listing in the TSA Handbook, the Society's annual guide to the profession in Texas. The TSA Handbook is used year round by all TSA members as a reference tool; a special section on Allied Members lists your name and a description of your company. You must apply for membership by October 31st to have your listing included in the TSA Handbook.
• Receive a subscription to Texas Architect, TSA's bimonthy, award-winning magazine. Texas Architect covers the profession in Texas and beyond, with features on projects across the state, news affecting the building profession, and articles on history, preservation, and education.
• Receive a subscription to CheckSet, the Society's bimonthy e-newsletter, keeping you informed on TSA events and initiatives.
• Join a strong voice in the Texas Legislature through TSA's active Government Affairs program.
• Receive an advance mailing of the Annual Design Products & Ideas Expo exhibitor prospectus [PDF]. TSA will also recognize your membership commitment at your booth.
• Be entitled to a member discount on seminars and convention registration.
• Be entitled to a 50% discount on mailing labels and a 10% discount on Texas Architect reprints.
• Have the opportunity to serve on TSA committees.
