About TSA
The Texas Society of Architects (TSA or the Society) is a state component of the American institute of Architects (AIA) serving members of the 17 AIA chapters in Texas. Its roots date to the 1880s and 1890s as the Texas State Association of Architects. In 1939, 47 architects paid charter dues of $2.00 and elected TSA’s first officers thus officially forming the Society as it exists today. It wasn’t until 1951 that it received its charter as a component of the AIA.
TSA maintains offices in Austin, Texas (816 Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78701-2443) and can be reached by phone at 512.478.7386, by fax 512.478.0528, and via email at info@texasarchitect.org.
